Wedding ceremony playlist
My Mom is getting married next weekend! I've been put in charge of the photography, but I'm also, with the happy couples help, compiling a CD for the ceremony. Last night I sat down with them and we put our heads together. The list is pretty much complete, I need maybe another 4 or 5 songs.
Here's what we have so far -- The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack (for brides 'walk down the aisle'
- Best Thing That Happened to Me - Gladys Knight & The Pips (for the signing of the register)
- I Close my Eyes and Count to Ten - Dusty Springfield (for the signing of the register)
- All the Way - Celine Dion & Frank Sinatra (for leaving the ceremony room)
The rest are 'filler' songs for when guests are arriving etc. In no particular order, we have -
- We've Only Just Begun - The Carpenters
- I'm Stone in Love With You - Johnny Mathis
- When I Fall in Love - Nat King Cole
- I've Got You Under my Skin - Frank Sinatra
- The Look of Love - Dusty Springfield
- Endless - Diana Ross & Lionel Richie
- Easy - The Commodores
- I Won't Last a Day Without You - The Carpenters
- You are Always on my Mind - Elvis Presley
- Reach Out and Touch - Diana Ross
- God Only Knows - Beach Boys
- California Dreamin' - The Mamas & The Papas
- Can't Give You Anything But my Love - The Stylistics
- How Deep is Your Love - Bee Gees
- I Just Can't Stop Loving You - Michael Jackson
- She - Charles Aznavour
- Every Breath You Take - The Police
- Annie's Song - John Denver
- Thank You - Dido
If you're reading this and happen to have any suggestions (suitable for a couple in their early 60's) I'd love to hear them!
