Moving to Posterous
My personal blog has resided at http://jackieplage.com for quite a while now. I don't blog regularly over there however, and haven't for a number of months. I'm not sure why, I guess I just lost interest. Microblogging has definitely effected the frequency of my regular blog posts, but there are times when 140 characters just doesn't cut it.
Posterous has now added quite a number of useful features, and it's very convenient to use. I'm hoping that a fresh start will give me the push I need to blog a little more frequently. That said, I can't be held accountable for the quality of posts here, I'm not about to devote a lot of time to it. My intention is to do that on a more concentrated subject over at http://naxtr.com instead. So I guess this blog will be used more for snippets that are a little too big for identi.ca, with a possible random sprinkling of more traditional blog posts.Incidentally, I did try to import my old blog (running WordPress) into Posterous, but it lost all the formatting. There's no way in hell I'm going to go back over a few hundred posts and re-do all the paragraph breaks etc.! When I'm feeling less lazy I'll do some searching around and see if there's a solution for that.
